SwiftStar Technology, a software development company based in Cape Town since 2017, is working hard to scaffold young women out of venerability, poverty, and hopelessness. Some of the ladies from our program has gone from living in a shack under abusive circumstances, from suicide attempts & hopelessness without any means of income or a plan for their future to being digital marketers working as creatives in the IT industry & pursuing their dreams of becoming a graphic designer, digital marketers & web designers.

Due to the financial state of our economy & the disadvantaged financial background of the women we wish to impact the program is currently being run free of charge to make sure that the people who desperately needs empowerment through digital skills development, are being reached after all that’s why we’ve created the program.

Since starting the skills development drive in November 2021 we have trained 12 women of which 60% is currently working within the industry earning a living from the skills they have acquired through the program. Our aim is to be able to facilitate 32 women at a time to reach 100 women impacted by the program within this year. While we strive to offer our students the best education & experience possible, we need the resources and supplies to keep our program running.

This donation would enable us to purchase one laptop to further our drive and bring us closer to our goal of empowering 100 young women per year and go on the road to serve rural communities with our mobile training center.
